Dear Parents:

Welcome back to St. Joseph Catholic School for the 2014-2015 school year. We have so much to look forward to this year in the Guidance Department!

At St. Joseph, Guidance is a school wide program whose services are used by all children. I will be visiting the classrooms on a regular basis and doing guidance related activities. These activities are designed to promote academic and social/emotional awareness and skills.

Small group guidance will be provided for students as needed. These group sessions will include such topics as being responsible, friendship skills, and building self-esteem, improving social skills and enhancing study skills.

Individual guidance will be provided when students have the desire to express their concerns in private. Teachers, as well as parents may refer individual students for counseling. Please feel free to call and speak with me if you have a particular concern. I will be on campus every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Once again, I am looking forward to working with your child(ren) at St. Joseph. If you have any questions regarding guidance services or have any specific concerns, please feel free to call. May God bless all of your efforts on behalf of your child(ren)!

All the best,
