Second Trimester: Morality

Objective: This course on Catholic morality deals with the very reason for our exsitence as human beings created in God’s image. We were made for happiness, a happiness that God alone can provide. Modeling our lives on Christ, we know that the only way to achieve happiness is by rejecting sin and freely choosing to do what is right. This is our dignity as we are called to live a life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Through God’s law and God’s grace, we are called upon to form our conscience and make moral decisions as followers of Christ and members of the Church. The Church itself is the authentic teacher of the ways of Christ and the manner in which we are to live a moral life in the world.
