ITBS Testing - On Monday our students in grades three through eight will be taking the ITBS Tests. It is important that they arrive at school on time, having had a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast. This year we will be testing on Monday, September 27th, Tuesday, September 28th, Friday, October 1st, and on the following week Monday, October 4th and Tuesday, October 5th. Please reassure your child that this is a test to see the progress they have made over the last year, and not a pass/fail situation. A student that is relaxed will test much better than one who is stressed. Calendar Change - Friday, October 15th originally scheduled as a Teacher In-service Day has been rescheduled to Monday, February 7th 2011. Friday, October 15th will be a regular school day, please check the new lunch form for that week, copies can be found on the web or in the office. Fun Fun Fair - It is hard to believe that we are ending the month of September and that five weeks of school have been completed. With just two weeks before our Fun Fair begins we are grateful to our Committee who have been working overtime with planning that will provide a successful endeavor. Thank you in advance for all your enthusiasm and commitment. Let us continue to pray for each other.

Sincerely,

Sister Veronica Visceglia, SSND Principal

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that we are at the end of another school year. Like any school year-we have had our ups and downs but there is one thing that has remained consistent all year through. Our Students! Our students have achieved success in many areas. They have excelled in spelling bees, musical concerts, intramural athletc competitions, math day and service projects. From the opening day of school to the recent graduations of our eighth grade and kindergarten students they have made us proud.

Lloyd Dobens, a famous inspiritual author, is credited with the following quotes:

“The only lifelong reliable motivations are those that come from within, and one of the strongest of those is the joy and pride that grow from knowing that you’ve just done something as well as you can do it.”

“It is not a question of how well each process works; the question is how well they all work together.”

I have great pride in our accomplishments this school year. Both our students and our community try to always give the best that they can. We are a TEAM. We are striving to make this good school into a great school by constantly raising the bar. That is all that we as a community can ask. Give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done.

I pray that God will bless and protect you and grant all our St. Patrick families a much deserved time of rest, refreshment and peace.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
